Movies are recorded at 720p HD at 24 fps, AVCHD Lite 720P to be exact and can be easily uploaded to YouTube and Facebook as can images. I actually purchased Adobe Premiere Pro, I'm just looking to make a few fun short films with me and my friends, nothing major.
