Blackberry Torch 9850 is available on Verizon since September 8

Blackberry Torch 9850 is the company's third smartphone to launch with a full touchscreen form factor, and it claims to have the largest display and highest resolution as compared to other Blackberry smartphones, till date.

The mobile phone is embedded with a 5 megapixel camera and 720p HD video recording capabilities. Other features include 3.7-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, trackpad navigation and a 1.2GHz processor. The Liquid Graphics technology, gives a certain edge to the handset by enhancing its speed and graphics. Complete with Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 2, it wraps a 16GB micro-SD card expandable up to 32GB. And it support 3G WCDMA (UMTS) / GSM both.

"Bring your sources of inspiration together. Gather and filter all your social network and RSS feeds in one view. Or spread your own inspiration - update multiple social networks with a single post. Manage multiple open websites with tabbed browsing. Bookmark your favourite sites with branded icons and customizable names, and access them right from the home screen." The BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone will be available for a price of $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. Customers who purchase the device need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 for monthly access and a smartphone data package starting at $30 providing monthly access for 2GB of data. The 9850 will be available at www.verizonwireless.com on September 8 and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on September 15.
