To get started, please download the free trial version of Mac DVD to Flash Converter, set it up to the computer according to the instruction. After that, run the program to enter its interface.
On the tool bar, there are three options. Click the first "Add Video" button, a new window will appear, then, press the "DVD Load" to select your DVD videos and load them into the program.
Some custom editing features are included in the program, allowing you to DIY a unique Flash video before starting the conversion. At the bottom of the interface, there are four options for choice, let's check them out as below:
Cropping DVD: Drag the dashed frame to set the cropping values to remove the unwanted part or element of the video, such as the annoying commercial logo.
Adding effect: Hit the "Effect" tab to enter the effect panel. There, you can adjust the video brightness, contrast and saturation freely as well as applying special effect such as emboss/grey/old film.

Audio & Video Settings: Click the "Customize" button on the tool bar, a new window will show up and then press the "Step 1", you are able to set audio sample rate, channels, encoder, bitrate, adjust video width, height, encode, bitrate and frame rate as per your wish.
Select Output Format: Click "Next" button to go on the next step. You will see a small window with four types of output formats: "Generate FLV", "Generate SWF(Embed the video in SWF and play in timeline & Play the created external FLV file progressively ), "Generate HTML" and "Generate thumbnail". Simply pick the one that meets your need. For example, if you want to embed DVD movies to your blog, you should choose "Generate HTML".
Tips: You must choose either "Generate FLV" or "Generate SWF" or both. If you choose "Generate SWF"-->Play the created external FLV file progressively, "Generate thumbnail" will be selected automatically.
Add Flash Player/Special Effect and Preloader: When you have finished the step above, remmember to press "Next" to continue.
