Convert Panasonic SDR series MOD to Mac QuickTime, iMovie, FCP X, etc

Have captured clips of graduation ceremony, wedding party or moving experience with the handy Panasonic SDR camcorder like SDR-S26? Now, intend to play back the recorded .MOD files on Mac or further editing them in iMovie or FCP. However, each of them can't read the MOD videos. How to fix the problem?

It's known to us that the Panasonic SDR camcorders can be mainly classified to SDR-S and SDR-H two series. Most of them records video in MPEG2 MOD. Unluckily, not all the Panasonic MOD files can be compatible with Mac player or editing programs. In the case, convert Panasonic SDR MOD files to Mac friendly file format like MOV can be an effective solution.

Tutorial on how to convert Panasonic SDR MOD files to Mac QuickTime, iMovie or FCP:

For preparation: Transfer the MOD footages from Panasonic camcorder to Mac, then install the Panasonic MOD Converter for Mac.

Click "Add File" button to import one or several MOD file(s) to Panasonic Video Converter for Mac.

Sometimes, you may hope to merge multiple MOD clips into a longer time-length one without interruption, enable "Merge" function.

Click the menu bar of "Profile", you can see kinds of output video formats. If you prefer to play MOD in QuickTime player, choose "Common Video"->"MOV-QuickTime(*.mov)" or "HD Video"->"HD MOV- QuickTime(*.mov)".
