How to Convert PVR Videos to AVI
PVR, short for Personal Video Recorder, or sometimes referred as DVR (Digital Video Recorder), is widely used today for home recording TV episodes. People can record their favorite TV episodes with a PVR set top box or directly with the built-in PVR function (if it has been) embedded in their TV sets. This can be very convenient for those who have no time for watching TV to replay the TV programs at any time they want.
However, videos recorded by the PVR/DVR, which are saved as .pvr format, are always in big sizes and would occupy a lot of hard disk space. Moreover, .pvr is not a commonly used video format, which means it cannot be easily played or edited by computers. In this case, you will need to convert PVR to AVI format for better saving the hard disk space or better compatible with your computer in editing and playing.
